Uninstalling S-GEAR
Uninstall on a Microsoft Windows system
If for some reason you wish to uninstall S-GEAR from your Windows system, there are two ways in which this can be done:
- From the Windows Control Panel select Uninstall a program. Select S-GEAR from the list of installed program, then click the Uninstall option.
- Double click on the original S-GEAR setup file and follow instructions to remove S-GEAR.
The uninstall process will not remove your S-GEAR license or User Presets.
VST2 plug-in: If you followed the deafult intallation for VST2, then the S-Gear uninstaller will take care of this. However, if you copied the S-Gear VST2 (S-Gear2_x64.dll) to a VST folder on your machine, you must then delete the old file manually.
Uninstall on an Apple macOS system
If you wish to remove S-GEAR from your macOS system you can download and run the following uninstall script.

- Download the zip file and double click to unpack.
- Open a Terminal window from the Utilities folder.
- Drag & drop the uninstall_sgear.sh script file to the terminal window to execute the script.
- You will need to enter your admnistrator password to complete the process.
The uninstall script will remove and unregister all S-GEAR components. It will not remove your S-GEAR license or User Presets.
