Based on clocked delay line, DelayThing works in a very similar way to a Bucket Brigade Delay chip, but with much more control over the quality and frequency response of the delay line.

There are two delay line modes to choose from, 'Analogue' and 'Tube', each offering different tone and decay characteristics, Tube mode including an ECC83 tube stage for warm overdriven feedback effects. Both modes provide feedback filtering which can be tailored by the Tone control.

Delays can be modulated by either triangle or sine wave signals with variable rate and depth. Tape delay sounds can be produced using the Tube setting and adding just a little modulation depth. Two stereo delay modes provide big, wide guitar sounds with the width control adjusting the percentage delay spread between the two channels. Three time ranges give delay settings between 20msec and 1 sec.
