Midi Assignment Question 5 years 8 months ago #16898

Bear with me but I'm rather new to this realm. Besides the floor controller for Live use, I was also considering getting a unit like a Novation Launch Control to control amp parameters. Here's my question. Does each amp have it's own control change to each knob? In other words does the gain knob on the Stealer and the Gain knob on the Jackal use a different number?

Good question. The common amp parameters are shared. Parameters that are specific to an amp type will have the amp name in brackets. If there is a parameter you are not sure about, please drop me a message.

Once you have a controller configured and enabled (e.g. gain), it will only affect the amp that is currently active in the preset.

Mike. That exactly answers the question I had and I was hoping this would be the case. So if I had a rotary that was assigned to the Lead Drive on the Wayfarer, it would only function when I had the Wayfarer amp active? Or the Bright Contour rotary would only function when I had the Stealer active? But I would only have one "Gain" rotary that would work for every amp that had a Gain knob. It would just have to be active?

That's right. For example Bright Contour will work on the Stealer and the Custom '57. The fact that some of these assignments are shared can be a little confusing when setting up controllers, but it doesn't take long to work out.
