TOPIC: Eric Johnson's "Trademark" using Scuffham Amps

Eric Johnson's "Trademark" using Scuffham Amps 1 year 5 months ago #23551

I have been a huge Eric Johnson fan since I first heard him play. I have always loved his song Trademark, so I spent some time to learn and record it. This is my band recording it live in my home studio as a three piece, with a few minor guitar parts added later. I am playing my 1962 Strat direct live into Scuffham Amps and we are monitoring with headsets

Really appreciate the listens and comments guys. :)

Gix, I don't really use any of the "given" presets. I usually just select the amps until I find what I am looking for and then tweak it to taste. If it is something that I think I would use more, then I will save it under my own presets. I can post screenshots of my settings used, if that interests you? I think there are about 5 different amps and settings for the different parts in the song.

Cheers
Tim

Here are the screenshots of the amps and settings I used for this song. All were played with a 1962 Strat, going direct to Samplitude Pro X4 via Warm Audio WA-412, Lucid ADA8824 and RME HDSP 9652 lightpipe card. I recorded a clean guitar track live with the band and then applied the different S-Gear amp variations to the original clean track. Drums are a real acoustic Yamaha kit mic'd up with 9 mics. Bass is direct and then run through a bass amp plugin during mixdown.
