I am trying to find a preset that I used to use in the early days of s-gear. I can't find it on this forum or on any of the preset lists that have been posted. It came as a factory preset with an early version of s-gear. It had a name like 5 mile road or 10 mile road. Some number, followed by "mile road". Can anyone point me to this preset?

I had a search for this but I couldn't find! It is not in my folders for the early versions.
Maybe someone else remembers this preset!

It doesn't ring a bell. Could it have been a user-created preset?

if the original preset really can’t be tracked down anymore, maybe another practical approach would be to rebuild something close to it from memory.

If you can still remember roughly how the preset sounded, I’m sure people here could help you get into the same ballpark. It would be useful to know a few things:

• Which guitar and pickups did you use with it?
• Were you playing through headphones, studio monitors, a real guitar cab, or into a DAW?
• Do you remember whether it was more of a clean, edge-of-breakup, crunch, lead, ambient, or country-style sound?
• Was there any characteristic delay, reverb, modulation, compression, or drive that stood out?
• And are there any songs, artists, or playing situations where you used that preset?

Even if the exact original preset is gone, S-Gear is flexible enough that a convincing replacement might be possible with a good description of the sound and setup.

5 mile road is referenced on page 14 of the forum presets topic under the title “ Default Factory Device Presets” from 13 years 10 months ago.
