Hi fellow guitar players,
I’m happy to share my Vox AC30-inspired preset bank for Scuffham S-Gear 3.2.6.
The bank was created with a Fender American Ultra Telecaster and voiced around a real guitar cabinet setup using an Orange PPC412. It includes eight presets ranging from clean chime and Tele jangle to edge-of-breakup response, Top Boost-style crunch, Brian May-inspired lead, dotted-eighth delay textures, and warm neck-pickup lead sounds.
The bank contains eight presets in slots 000–007:
1. AC30 Cab Clean Chime Tele Neck Mid
2. AC30 Cab Jangle Tele Middle Spark
3. AC30 Cab Edge-of-Breakup Tele Bridge
4. AC30 Cab Top Boost Tele Bridge Bite
5. AC30 Cab Chime Drive Tele Rock Rhythm
6. AC30 Cab Brian May Tele Singing Lead
7. AC30 Cab Dotted Eighth Tele Chime Delay
8. AC30 Cab Warm Lead Tele Neck Voice
The presets are stored cab-free as a safe starting point. For real-cab use, keep ProConvolver/Cab and CABS bypassed to avoid double speaker coloration. For studio monitors, headphones, or direct recording, enable ProConvolver/Cab and operate BYPASS CABS with LED ON | CABS active | bypass inactive.
In addition to the preset bank, I have included four PDF guides:
- Real Cab Mode – German
- Real Cab Mode – English
- Studio Monitor Mode – German
- Studio Monitor Mode – English
These guides provide detailed setup notes, preset descriptions, AMP A/B settings, effect logic, and separate instructions for real-cab and studio-monitor operation.
I hope You enjoy these presets and find them useful as starting points for Your own AC30-flavoured S-Gear tones.
Best regards from Germany,
Björn

At Mike's suggestion, I'm now making a second preset bank available here:
Vox AC30 for Telecaster & Orange PPC 412 DI Z-Ctrl
This optional second bank uses ProConvolver DI with Z-Control instead of a cabinet model. It does not replace the main Real Cab bank. In my own Fryette Power Station 100 / Orange PPC412 setup, I personally prefer the clearer and more natural sound of the main cab-free bank with ProConvolver switched off. However, the DI/Z-Control version may be useful for players using different power amps, real guitar cabinets, or recording setups who want to experiment with S-Gear’s impedance-style EQ shaping.
