TOPIC: Tremolo as a Pedal or Rack mount Effect

Tremolo as a Pedal or Rack mount Effect 3 months 4 weeks ago #26149

Hi, would it be possible to consider putting the Tremolo effect from the Wayfarer amp into a separate effect pedal or rack-mount thingy?
My go-to amp is the 'Stealer', but the tremolo effect is only available on the Wayfarer.
Tremolo is so useful, so it would be great to be able to use the effect with whatever amp.
If I say 'please' enough times like a 3-year-old, would Mike give in and include it?!?

Hi!

Yes, entirely possible to put the Tremolo effect in a pedal or rack. However, it can work best when positioned between the pre and power amps (as it is in the Wayfarer).

When developing the pedalboard, I left some foundation to route pedals either in front of the amp or after the pre-amp, precisely with the intention of implementing tremolo, GEQ and other things that might work well with this option.

Of course, I could just add a tremolo to other amps too. I'm sure it would work well in the Stealer.

Thanks for the reply.
Either way to implement the effect to use with any of the amps would be great.
A GEQ would also be a wonderful addition. Maybe, with guitar-centric frequencies, like the XTS/Analogueman mod of the Boss eq pedal(I think developed with Tom Bukovac), which I think covers - 400,800,1.2k,1.6k,2k,2.5k,4k. But, I may be wrong here on the frequencies chosen.....ahem!
