TOPIC: S-Gear live in a mono setup

S-Gear live in a mono setup 1 month 4 weeks ago #24180

Hello,

I will sometimes use S-Gear in sessions in a non-stereo setup. It is integrated in GigPerformer.
How would you "convert" the stereo signal (the wet signal, panned IRs) into mono without having negative phase issues?
Just route it together? Or pan the IRs, delay and reverb centered?

Greetings,
HANS

S-Gear's built-in 'Mono' button in the bottom-right corner now gets saved with the plugin state, so will be a good thing to try as a first test to mono-ify the preset.
But I think there might be some fx that do subtle delays to L+R to enhance the stereo effect (e.g. RoomThing's 'Spread' parameter), so you ultimately might be better creating some mono specific presets.

Try not to compromise your sound...spend a little time creating some custom mono presets. Interestingly, apart from 'lead' tones, the vast majority guitar tracks are mono.
