TOPIC: I fell in love with S-Gear

I fell in love with S-Gear 1 year 1 week ago #23637

Hi! I’m new here.

I’ve been jumping back and forth for quite some time between different sims (Guitar Rig, Amplitube etc) and and I’ve demoed most of the other usual suspects like Neural, Overloud and Amp Room. I finally settled on S-Gear and boy am I happy I did.

Beside the sound and responsiveness the simplicity, flexibility and lack of one zillion components has been such a boost to my creativity. I’m finally recording and listening rather than spending the time browsing, fiddling and replacing stuff.

What a beautiful, focused piece of software S-Gear is. Thanks! I love it.

My first foray into electric guitar was through GarageBand amp sims. I later learned of S-Gear which sounded great!

But, I thought I wanted a real amp. I've bought a couple over the years, and I currently own an RK1970 Supro. It's really nice, but 8 times out of 10, I'm still using S-Gear.

Fully agree, I am an online jammer using Ableton Live. I have used all the major vst plugins (guitarrig, amplitube, TH3, BIAS, Mercuriall and more) and for me S-gear tops them all. Use it 98% off the time. It gives me a decent natural sound right from the start and gives me the sounds I like the most. I love the guitarsounds of David Gilmour and Steve Rothery and Andrew Latimer(Camel).. Love the presets Heaven and Catharsis together with some IR's from York. Simply magic. It's keeping me off to buy a kemper profiler.. In many best guitar vst reviews they hardly ever mention S-gear. Think it is underrated still. Maybe it's for the happy few. Many thanks for this amazing guitar-vst. :good job:
