Happy New Year to everyone here on the S-Gear forum!

Throughout 2021 we’ve been busy working on the next major update to S-Gear and I’m very keen to share full details with you, just as soon as we get close enough to release.

What I can share now, is that the next major S-Gear update will include a virtual pedal platform providing addition of very high-quality pedal models in a flexible virtual pedalboard. The initial release will include one or two pedals and further models will be added going forward. The initial virtual pedalboard release will be a free update for S-Gear v2.9 license holders.

A key element of the new pedalboard is that all the pedal models are positioned in the oversampled processing block along with the S-Gear amplifier stage. The single oversampled block minimises latency and maintains the integrity of audio, providing for beautiful sounding processing chains.

Hi Mike, this is my first post as I'm a relative newcomer to S-gear. To be honest, I wasn't even looking for a different amp sim, I was just playing about with different sims to test out oversampling and aliasing but after downloading s-gear and having a play I switched horses and I'm now a big fan.

It's a brilliant bit of (virtual) gear.

Anyway, really excited to hear about the new up and coming pedalboard and that it will be getting the same oversampling treatment as the amps. Can't wait.

Would be great, if you posted some sound demos like you did before you released the Wayfarer ( or the Custom57?), when you were just developing the ideas.

I'll keep this in mind whilst I'm working! I did this I recall for the Custom'57 prototype.

Mike, I'm sure it'll be done when it's done but any rough timescales on when we can expect this? Not nagging, just trying to manage my excitement levels.

Very excitingly, the Summer sale says "including free upgrade to v3.0" so maybe that means things are moving forward at pace and we'll see the fruits of Mike's labour soon.

Not so excitingly, sounds like it's not going to be a free upgrade for those of us who've already bought it
