TOPIC: S-Gear v2.94 is now available

S-Gear v2.94 is now available 3 years 2 months ago #21223

Hi Folks,

S-Gear v2.94 has been posted on the download page.

This fixes a problem observed with the VST3 plug-in on Windows where the plug-in could load with muted output or in some cases producing digital noise. The fix applies to all plug-in formats.

Also some further ASIO Driver handling improvements on the Windows Standalone Application. This resolves a problem were the focusrite and Audient ASIO does not load if the stored audio routing settings are all 'no connection'.

Cheers,
Mike

Mike
I've applied this update but S-Gear won't work in Cakewalk, even though other guitar processors do. The standalone version works and the plugin version also works in Studio One. A member of the Cakewalk forum has said that there is a problem still with the VST3 version and I should therefore install and use that VST2 version. Is that correct?

Thanks
John

Correct. It is recommended to stay with the VST2 format with Cakewalk.

How do we upgrade. I have a new computer and I deactivated my 2.7, but I can't for the life of me figure out a way to pay my $29 to upgrade. Anyone know where I can find the link?

Upgrade emails were send out in January, if you did not receive then please submit the upgrade request form here.

Thanks.

Yes I think I remember that, but people were experience issues so I thought I would wait a bit to make sure all the kinks were worked out.

I sent the form.

I have an old Mac I use at a remote location that I think I will leave on 2.7 if possible. Do you know if it will continue to work, or do I need to switch both my activations to 2.9?

Thanks,
tPE

Yes, you can continue using S-Gear v2.7 on an older machine if you need to do so. The maximum number of machines you can use will be governed by the new S-Gear v2.9 EULA. See this FAQ:
